Moments

I sat

The breeze gently blowing on my face

while my hair refused to comply [as usual]

The water fountain gushed rhythmically,

spouting frantic tendrils of water

One sole tree flaunted its dark purple leaves,

working with the wind to bask in its own glory

Children admired young goslings, only a few weeks old,

still new to the ways of the world

Mother and Father Goose trailed closely behind

as a full-grown female Maynard waddled past me

confident and empowering,

proud and determined,

even in her limited gait.2016-05-12-18.21.51.jpg.jpeg
